Second opinion & reviews

You do the work; I review it before it goes out. Typical uses: a notice reply, an IPO eligibility screen, a FEMA closure file, a year-end tax add-back working. Fixed fee per review, agreed upfront.

Mandates

I take a defined piece of work end to end: an IPO readiness programme, a multi-year FEMA reconciliation, a scrutiny or audit response, or a monthly compliance desk. Scoped and priced per mandate.

Fees are quoted after a short call, once the scope, volume and deadline are clear. Nothing is charged for the first conversation.

How an engagement runs

  1. A short note to connect@vikashkhanal.in: what the problem is, the deadline, and the documents you have.
  2. A 20-minute call to agree scope. You get a written scope, fee and timeline the same week.
  3. Work in a shared tracker (Finance OS or your own), with a weekly status note.
  4. Close-out: working papers handed over so your team can repeat the process.

What I don't do

  • Statutory audit, tax audit certification or any attest function, which need a practising chartered accountant.
  • Company secretarial certification (MGT-8, MR-3, PIT SDD certificates), which needs a practising company secretary. I work alongside both.
  • Investment advice, stock recommendations or trading signals.
