Case studies

Signature work.

A few pieces of work I'm proudest of — what the situation was, what I did, and what changed.

CASE 01 · TRADE FINANCE · FEMA

A multi-currency foreign remittance framework

One working framework for import payments across 14 foreign vendors and four currencies.

14 vendors4 currenciesRBI / FEMA
Context
An import-heavy sports-infrastructure business paying foreign vendors in several currencies, where every remittance has to stay aligned with RBI/FEMA rules and be reconcilable in IDPMS/EDPMS.
What I did
  • Built a Foreign Remittance Working framework covering 14 foreign vendors in USD, EUR, GBP and CHF
  • Set up ORM–BOE allocation and settlement matrices for each vendor
  • Added FX P&L tracking on every remittance
  • Kept IDPMS / EDPMS reconciliation timely
Outcome
Import payments kept fully aligned with RBI/FEMA and IDPMS/EDPMS requirements.
CASE 02 · CAPITAL MARKETS · SME IPO

Getting a company IPO-ready: restated financials and the DRHP

The finance workstream behind an SME IPO offer document: three years of restated financials, the management discussion and the supporting analysis.

SME IPORestated FS · 3 yearsDRHP MD&A
Context
Gallant Sports and Infra Limited is preparing for an SME IPO. The draft offer document (DRHP) needs restated financial statements for three years, a management discussion and analysis of results, ratio disclosures and supporting workings that tie exactly to the restated numbers.
What I did
  • Prepared the restated financial statements for FY 2023-24, FY 2024-25 and FY 2025-26 with the statutory auditor
  • Drafted the Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) section of the DRHP, tying every figure and narrative to the restated statements
  • Built the variance analysis for the key financial ratios, explaining every ratio that moved by more than 25% year on year
  • Prepared the restated statement of tax shelter from the income-tax computations and filed returns
  • Reworked the financial projections that support the working-capital object of the issue, and reconciled the restated cash flow statements
  • Worked through review points with the auditor, the merchant banker and the company's directors
Outcome
A restated, internally consistent set of numbers and an MD&A ready for the offer document.
CASE 03 · RECONCILIATION · IMPORTS

250+ Bill-of-Entry records, one shortfall found

A three-currency settlement report reconciled record by record, and the gap traced to a single vendor.

250+ records3 currenciesIDIS / IDPMS
Context
An IDIS Bill-of-Entry settlement report of 250+ records across three currencies did not reconcile, putting the bank submission and the compliance position at risk.
What I did
  • Reconciled all 250+ records across three currencies
  • Traced a USD import-payment shortfall to a single vendor
  • Turned the position into a clean submission for the bank
Outcome
A clean bank submission, with compliance flags averted.
CASE 04 · CONSOLIDATION · REPORTING

Year-end close and consolidation, with a cash-flow catch

Books closed for the year, statements prepared after eliminating inter-branch revenue, and a misstatement others had missed corrected.

FY 2025-26Book closureP&L · BS · CFSTax computation
Context
A multi-branch company needed its books closed for FY 2025-26, with combined financial statements and the tax computation ready for audit.
What I did
  • Closed the books for the year across state branches, with ledger, bank and vendor reconciliations
  • Prepared the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement, and the tax computation
  • Rebuilt the fixed asset register on the WDV method, anchored to the audited figures
  • Eliminated inter-branch revenue across state branches
  • Found a double-counted share-application inflow in the cash flow
  • Found and recorded a share-issue expense that had not been booked
Outcome
Corrected statements, with a clean audit trail behind the figures.
CASE 05 · CORPORATE FINANCE

Supporting the move from private to public limited

Finance and statutory groundwork for the company's conversion to a public limited company.

GovernanceStatutory
Context
The company converted from a private limited to a public limited company.
What I did
  • Supported the conversion from the finance and statutory side
  • Handled banking and statutory matters through the transition
Outcome
The company completed its conversion to a public limited company.
CASE 06 · PUBLIC PROCUREMENT

Tender documentation for government projects

Finance and compliance documentation for state and central sports-infrastructure tenders.

GeMState & central
Context
Government and GeM tenders need complete, consistent finance and compliance documentation, often on tight deadlines.
What I did
  • Prepared documentation for tenders including Karnataka DYES, Telangana SATG, Ladakh R&B and CPWD / AIIMS
  • Prepared OEM authorisation letters, self-declarations and company profiles
Outcome
Complete bid documentation for multiple state and central procurements.
